• Affiliate links route through our own /out/ gateway and are marked with rel="sponsored" so search engines treat them correctly.
• Any article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure notice at the top of the page.
• Product picks are made editorially first. Where we recommend a product category (say, cedar planters), we link the specific items we would shortlist ourselves, and the existence of a commission does not change what we say about a product's downsides.

What is not affiliated

The nursery directory contains no paid placements; businesses cannot pay to be listed, ranked, or featured. Links to nurseries' own websites, to Google Maps, and to the university extension sources cited in articles earn us nothing.
